A club for students across all faculties to come together to engage in guided musical improvisation workshops, facilitated by Dr. Irene Feher, who will employ the teaching methods of Music for People. Over the last 30 years teachers and members of Music for People (founded in 1986 by cellist David Darling and flutist Bonnie Insull) have been enabling communities to transform their lives through interactive music making. Instead of learning and interpreting a written piece of music, individuals tap into music that is already living within them and cultivate their musical instincts through mindful listening and play. We offer a biweekly workshop Monday 7-9 PM during the fall and winter semester. No prior musical experience is necessary, and musicians of all levels of experience are welcome.
