THE CSU IS LOOKING FOR AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT TO SIT ON THE COMMUNITY ACTION FUND COMMITTEE!

What is the CSU Community Action Fund?

The CSU Community Action Fund has for mandate to fund grassroots initiatives and groups, which have scarce access to funding, as well as support student associations that have adopted a strike mandate when needed. It also has for mandate to support in priority initiatives by and for black, indigenous, and people of colours, as well as other marginalized groups.

 

The Fund is administered by a committee of seven undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

The Community Action Fund committee is responsible for reviewing the applications submitted to the Fund, and grant funding, as well as the general administration of the Fund. It is expected to meet at least once a month.

 

Essential Requirements

- An interest in social justices issues;

- Being an undergraduate student

Assets:

- Knowledge of the CSU Position Book

- Previous involvement in community organizing / social justice based activism
