We’ve all heard terms like “systemic racism,” “oppression,” “marginalized groups,” “allyship” and “privilege” – but what is systemic oppression, and what does it mean to be anti-oppressive? How can we foster a safer and more inclusive environment in our student groups, our events, and our classrooms? Join us for an anti-oppression 101 workshop facilitated by Akira De Carlos. Topics discussed will range from diversity, inclusion, identity, and anti-black racism, to systemic oppression, social justice, privilege, and allyship. Join us from 2-4pm on Thursday, February 18th to learn about activism and strategies, and how you can make a positive difference in today’s world.
